. And, I did not acuse him of being a "white colonialist supremacist, " and "neo-Nazi." The truth is bad enough. After the Columbine events, he claimed to the media, that Dylan Klebold and Eric Harris, were members of his Utopian Anarchist Party. A real nutcase.
And ironic, that Mr. White would bring up the Church of Scientology, given that some years back, Cockburn had many columns about the Cult Awareness Network, the Church of Scientology, and a Time magazine reporter, Richard Behar, which if memory serves, were a bit agnostic on the nature of the Church of Scientology.

White Trades Insults With Cockburn Each Calls Other "Racist", "Nazi" Cockburn Threatens Article, White Threatens Lawsuit June 6, 2000 http://www.libertariansocialist.com/cgi-bin/bbmat.cgi?script=libsoc California -- LSM Founder Bill White today denounced Communist activist Alexander Cockburn as a "racist" and a "neo-Nazi" after Cockburn and White argued over the issue of Zimbabwe and whether racism is worse than Bolshevism. White, who is a firm anti-racist, says that Bolshevism is more racist than racism because it kills more black people. Cockburn says that Bolshevism is less racist than racism because it's not called racism. Both White and Cockburn immediately denounced the other as "racist". Both White and Cockburn have been self-defined "anti-racist" activists for most of their political lives. Cockburn has also stated he would publish a "correction" in his next issue of Counterpunch accusing White of being a "racist" and a "neo-Nazi". Cockburn efforts mirror those of the norotiously paranoid and slanderous Church of Scientology, which distributed leaflets accusing White of being an "anarchist and a neo-Nazi" after White successfully fought off a threatened lawsuit by the Church. White says Cockburn's accusations are "sour grapes" and completely ridiculous. White intends to file a libel suit against Cockburn if he publishes material stating White is a "Nazi" or a "racist." White is not a public figure under US law, and was approached by Counterpunch for a recent story, not visa versa. Because of this, Counterpunch cannot run an article on White that slanders him or contains information that is untrue, particularly if such information can be reasonably calculated to cause him harm. At least one federal court this year has ruled that false accusations of "racism", "Nazi"-ism, and "Whiet supremacism" constitute by their very use an actionable harm to the recipient of such slurs. In that case, a federal jury brought a $10 million dollar judgement against the ADL. In contrast, anyone can call a public figure, such as Pat Buchanan, a "Nazi" and a "racist", whether such things are true or not. Earlier this year, White filed suit against the Washington Post for libel after the paper published a digitally altered photo appearing to depcit White with a black eye. The suit has not yet gone forward. The fighting began when Michael Pugleisi, a Communist organizer in California, wrote a series of letters complaining that Bill White should never have been quoted in Counterpunch because he is "the man of many ideologies" and a "weirdo". White responded to Pugliesi by telling Pugliesi that people who organize conferences on "the future of socialism" should "watch who they call a weirdo." Pugliesi then responded by sending emails to Alexander Cockburn saying White was a "neo-Nazi" and a "white colonialist supremacist". White has been involved in anti-racist activism for more than ten years, but has recently denounced that movement for going too far and challenged many of their underlying principles. White has never had good relations with the Communist left. In the essay in question, White argues that Bolshevism, as a political system, is worse and "more evil" than colonialism and racism. In a later response, White clarified his position, restating that he did not advocate racism or colonialism, but published the piece to challenge leftist assumptions on the position of racism as a supreme evil, when other systems of government that are allegedly "anti-racist" inflict much greater evils on their people. White has relatives in Rhodesia who have lost property as a result of the ZANU-PF. The ZANU-PF, far from being a native black movement, is controlled by a white Marxist in Britain -- a Marxist of the same sort as Mr Cockburn. Cockburn today also dismissed Counterpunch reporter Cletus Nelson. Ironically, White did an interview earlier today with Counterpunch reporter Jim Redden for a story Redden was doing on why leftist groups need to slur opponents with labels such as "neo-Nazi" and "racist", and why labels such as "right libertarian" or "militiaman" just don't cut it. This strange and extreme reaction of Cockburn's follows a similar strange and extreme denouncement of White made to Reform Party officials by a source within the Reform Party who had recently approached White about using his connections to UAP and other groups for political advantage. White said he believes "something is fishy" about recent events and that "behind the scenes, someone is stirring the pot." Today he told LSN, "The newspapers, in the past -- they've called me all kinds of things -- I've been slandered and libeled ten different ways on the front pages of almost every major newspaper, and now it looks like this asshole is going to try to stir up another storm. Raimondo assailing Pitcavage for his self-serving attempts to downplay FBI
skullduggery during the 1993 WACO siege provided the impetus for the group's

it, he adds your name to the list", White says. From a civil libertarian
perspective, these machinations by an asset of the federal government to
"expose" and denounce constitutionally protected political speech advertise
