Remember David Himmelstein's anecdote about his conversation with Hillary on single payer? Himmelstein, a tireless and excellent promoter of a civilized national health insurance scheme, pointed out to Hillary that with 70% popular support and strong presidential leadership, they could pass a singe-payer plan. Hillary dismissed this, saying, "Tell me something interesting, David."
Where does that leave this preference?
