Carowan unmasked

Being relatively new to the list (since November), this strikes me as some
kind of old family crisis -- Brother Rakesh is the mad Jan Carowan! Holy
shit! Screaming yellow Christ! Wicka wicka and hullabaloo!

I always found the Carowan posts to be turgid and largely unreadable, and of
course quite mad. I also noticed the name's resemblance to "Jack Kerouac,"
though our Jan never really delivered a decent Kerouacian riff. "The
Subtextarians" anyone?
