What evidence is there (other than stubborn hope for the Dems) that their policies come from failure of thought or nerve? Why should not one think that their policies are a reflection of basic commitment, intellectual and political?
The appearance, at least, of the last 30 years is that the Democrats really believe in, really support, both their policies and the material results of those policies. I see little evidence of their either being cowards or stupid.
