The United States Supreme Court has ruled that the state of Missouri cannot bar a white supremicist group from participating in a litter-control programme. The state was fighting to keep the Ku Klux Klan (KKK) from "adopting" a highway. Under the Adopt-a-Highway scheme, groups agree to clean a stretch of road in exchange for a sign acknowledging their efforts.
