Perhaps like Johnny Rotten (John Lydon) said when asked why the Sex Pistols toured small venues in the southern US (when they could have made some bucks off big venues in NYC, Boston and Philadelphia instead, and left the US still a group): you should always go where you are not wanted first--there is so much more to be accomplished.
