Hit List on WWP

So I read that Hit List piece on WWP/IAC last night (thanks to Thomas Seay for sending it). It seems marred by a serious case of anti-Communism, though the author's politics are otherwise murky. For example, it takes IAC/WWP to task for calling for an end to NATO. What's wrong with that? But it does make a few interesting points - one, that WWP has totally effaced its Trot past. Party histories never mention its origins in the SWP, and the Sam Marcy bio never mentions his membership. Apparently they dumped Lev when the USSR invaded Hungary; most Trots supported the uprising as anti-Stalinist, but the embryonic WWP took the Soviet side as a necessary defense against US-sponsored counterrevolution, and so Trotsky had to go.

Lou Paulsen, you seen the piece? Any response to it? And what about that disappearing Trotsky thing?

Doug
