The problem is that if a military strick is purely symbolic, it will be a sign of weakness not strength. The Israelis lash out by bulldozing just to show strength, to so something. Was Clinton's attack on Sudan effective??

I wonder if the attack is like an attack on an abortion clinic, inspired by the words of a Jerry Falwell or some such character. Fallwell may only be stirring up the troops with no particular intention of that particular attack. Or was ObL really there plotting out the organizational structure or appointing someone else to do it.

Look, I don't have answers, just questions. But I know that the world is very complex and it is very easy to create instability in a large part of the world affected by this bombing. As Brad said before he left, it is far easier to destroy than to build.
