Russian Emergencies' Ministry sending aid to flood-stricken Germany MOSCOW. Aug 19 (Interfax) - An airplane of the Russian Emergencies' Ministry with special equipment and a rescue team left Moscow for Dresden Monday morning, the ministry press service told Interfax.
The Il-76 is carrying 14 rescue workers and two amphibious vehicles capable of carrying heavy loads.
On Tuesday 15 heavy trucks will leave for Germany with pumps and a special laboratory for determining the stability of buildings and structures.
