That's a critically important point except lot's of the younger participants in the meta-globalization movement deplore the kakistocracy in DC as much as the corporations so there'd be quite a bit of dissonance brought forth in calling for a 21st century version of nation building. Also, the discussion would invariably drift towards the rightness or wrongness of US military action because as many on the list have pointed out USer's engage in moralisms, often despite themselves. How to fractalize this square will be tricky. How could we make the case?
