Don't blame Hakki for the Turkish government

I don't follow LBO that closely. I just check the archives every now and then, so I am in no position to say whether Hakki said if it is all America's fault or not. On the other hand, as far as I know him from his other posts on LBO, it is highly unlikely that Hakki would make an ahistorical statement such as it is all America's fault.

However, I find the above statement of Dennis Perrin highly offending. I have no fucking relationship with the chauvinists in my country and find statements like "But the US didn't invent Turkish chauvinism, nor did it teach the Turks how to kill and repress their enemies" highly racist. Chauvinism is universal and subcategories such as Turkish, Canadian, American, Japanese and the like are rubbish.

How would you feel Dennis if I reciprocate with a similar statement about Americans?
