I suppose small business owners have an objective (and some workers who have an aspiration to become "their own bosses" one day have a subjective) interest in the Small Business Is Beautiful ideology. Also, unless you have a vision of socializing the means of production one day, the kind of life portrayed in Robert Fitch's article on Emilia-Romagna (@ <http://www.wisc.edu/uwcc/info/bologna.html>) may look attractive to you (I don't know if Fitch's portrayal of Emilia-Romagna is accurate or idealized). -- Yoshie
