[This isn't hype - Naomi Klein did smoke her adversary, Sameena Ahmad of The Economist, who wrote a Pro Logo piece for the mag - just before 9/11/01, so it was quickly forgotten. Later they're joined by some idiot investment manager and by Owens Wiwa, brother of Ken Saro Wiwa, who was hanged by the Nigerian government for giving Shell too hard a time.]

>Wanted to let everyone know that the first-ever Nation/Economist
>debate came off very well last night at Ethical Cultures. Not only
>did Naomi Klein smoke her adversary, but we absolutely packed the
>venue with more than 1,100 people, and, if you can believe it, on
>top of that, we also turned away more than 400 others. And most of
>the audience was young!

>WNYC aired the entire event today and will re-broadcast it multiple

>"end-of-the-year filler," getting it another few airings in the next
>few months. We're also going to syndicate it as a national NPR
>special.
