I have deep sympathy for the Jewish Voice for Peace messages. It is better informed on the non-invite to Michael Lerner than I. The fact remains that he, who I know from the UC Berkeley Free Speech Movement of 1964-5 and all the years since, and who certainly qualifies for the negative things she says, remains probably the most important name in the Jewish community favoring a two-state solution and opposing a war on Iraq. Therefore it was a mistake for other Jewish speakers from San Francisco to have been named, and for him to have been excluded. I still hope that can be corrected. This is not an endorsement of his attempting to shoulder his way in by making an accusation that seems to be false.
