You could get Genesee Cream Ale ("One brewery makes it best!") in Buffalo when I was a kid ... not that you wanted to! But to get Spiedies, you'd have to go further east to, say, Syracuse or Binghamton. Buffalo, of course, has it's own local food: wings and "beef on 'weck" (Kimmelweck). The former have made it out into the rest of the world (but don't get me started about anything that's breaded or has "BBQ sauce" on it), whereas I don't think there's anyplace else that has 'weck.
