Theater musicians are on strike because the greedy producers of sold out shows with tickets going for hundreds of dollars are trying to chisel a few more nickels of profit out of their workers, by way of replacing many musicians with "virtual" musicians. Support the union - come down to local 802 at 322 W. 48th Street, pick up a sign, and then head off to one of the picket lines in front of the various shows being ticketed (Phantom of the Opera, the Producers, Aida etc.) - they're listed on Local 802's web site - http://www.local802afm.org , and you can find out via their phone message - (212) 245-4802 ext 260, or find out when you're picking up your picket sign from the local. Instead of shelling out hundreds for Les Miserables to watch the rich screw over the workers in 19th century France and the worker's response then, watch it for real, live, in 21st century New York on the picket lines down Broadway tonight, and every night until Sunday, and past then if the strike cont

inues. Solidarity will keep the music live on Broadway!
