The number figures are as follows: 3.4 million unionized U.S.workers in 1930 3.5 million unionized U.S. workers in 1935 14.3 million unionized U.S. workers in 1945 and 16.2 million unionized U.S. workers in 2000,(according to this particular almanac).

--nb--the numbers of workers unionized has continued to increase... and, of course, the diversity of the labor unions is far greater than it was in the past... --------------------------------------------------------- Speaking of the unionized labor force, the AFL-CIO's web site recently posted a news release which referred to the AFL-CIO's support for the National Endowment for Democracy. According to William Blum's Rogue State book:
