"semitic" refers to peoples who speak one of the languages in the semitic sub-family of the hamito-semitic language group
"anti-semite" therefore properly describes any person who irrationally dislikes peoples who speak amharic, arabic and hebrew, among others - these languages are linguistically very close to one another
as a jew (the goyishe name is a long story) and a detester of racism, i have always been maddened by the fact that there is no specific, widely-used, everyday, polite english term for someone who irrationally dislikes people of african descent
