the suffering experienced by the people is certain, but the reasons
given are all about the political economic basis for the source of the
tale...those currently running around repeating the genocide-as-usual
story should remember the selective nature of these charges...
when Americans, of the center, left and right, are awakened from
slumbers to support action being taken to save lives in other places,
the first word to occur should be caution, at the very least...and if
they purport to be on the left, and even more purportedly support
something approaching radical change, they ought to be damned careful
about engaging in the same old mud slinging, name calling crap that
rationalizes every single slaughter undertaken in foreign countries by
this benign imperial power...
yeah., right, we should all stop the genocide wherever we are told it is
being conducted by others, and remain helpless to do anything about the
countless murders committed in our name, on an ongoing basis, while we
name-call, repeat imperial slogans under the guise of democracy, and
generally act as stooges for the empire...
watch for the uncovering of mass graves in the sudan, linked to
milosevic, hussein, whatever it takes to get even more attention given
to something to make mass murderers here, look like some form of savior,
there...
we support democracy and freedom, everywhere, especially at our
keyboards...
yeah, right....
