XXI Century Gabriele Zamparini & Lorenzo Meccoli
XXI Century, by Italian filmmakers Gabriele Zamparini and Lorenzo Meccoli, is a documentary about the reactionary historical period in the United States surrounding September 11, 2001 and the anti-war movement that emerged in response. The film, an official selection of the 2003 International Documentary Film Festival in Amsterdam, features conversations with left activists, intellectuals, journalists, and religious leaders, about oil, patriotism, war and resistance. We will screen short selections from the 7-hour film, allowing time for a Q&A with the directors.
