KIA of US soldiers in 'Nam by 68 was hitting 200 a week. Yr. before was when the anti-war movement started to grow beyond the socialist/communist left and Xtian pacifists, though it took till '69 till hundreds of thousands were mobilized in the huge MOBE's. Even on this cynical if realistic calculus (given nationalistic chauvinism in the US political culture), it will take a dramatic increase in the effectiveness of the Iraqi resistance to turn up the heat from orgs. like Military Families Speak Out, for pro-war sentiment to fracture more, or for more folks to hear and be receptive to the msg. from folks like the Latino Father, of a dead Marine, from north of San Diego, if memory serves, who spoke during the part of the Wash. D.C. rally w/ speakers aligned w/ UfPJ a few months ago.
