Of course, any body but a damn fool calls the cops when necessary. I've been in the hospital with internal bleeding so haven't read much since Monday, & don't intend to read much if any of this thread now. It's been argued over endlessly for a hundred years. Only mugwumps include personal experience as part of the argument on either side. Almost all of my personal experience with particular cops going back 53 years has been positive. So what! It has nothing to do with the issue.

If we took our opinions from the Gallop poll of "the working class" (whatever that means at a given time) we'd have to have about 7 opinions on every topic, and stay at home shivering that we might, horrors, contradict the majority on something.
