Chris,

Be fair. First, I notice that you really don't like Boris K.in general. Second, the newspaper that publishes Boris' editorials is not a self-styled leftist radical paper but a mainstream publication that makes no claim whatsoever for its correct political stance and Boris makes no claims for it either.

I don't know what Perry Anderson is doing at NLR, but I've met plenty of "radical" academicians who have washed their hands of any responsibility for leadership/teaching etc., by saying stuff like "there is no working class in the U.S.", "socialism is dead," "socialism is totally discredited," etc.....and then enjoying the perks of their academic career which is often built on the frisson of their would be radicalism.

So, I do share Boris' disgust.
