Turnout in Oregon is usually much higher than in other states. http://www.eac.gov/election_resources/02to.htm Oregon Voting Age Pop. 2,666,000 Nov. 2002 Reg. voters 1,872,615 Percent reg. of VAP 70.2% Turnout 1,293,756 % Turnout of Reg. voters 69.1 % turnout of VAP 48.5

And, what other system is there in a deformed bourgeois democracy, for measuring policy preferences among the public? Push polls funded by advocacy orgs. on the Right and Left that delude the most committed partisans on the Right and Left, that the "masses" are really on their side, on issues, X, Y, Z ?

Direct mail from the RNC: Do you think Democrats want to surrender our Nation to perverts, welfare leeches and Osama bin Laden?
