He's retaking office on Jan 20 with the lowest approval rating of any president at his inauguration in the history of polling. Even those re-elected by relatively narrow margins (i.e., not as narrow as Bush's margin, which was very narrow) enjoyed post-election bounces - but not W. His approval is flat-to-down since the election.
