It's harder than it sounds. The modernist impulse would be, to focus on just one or two media. But the kids surf multiple information/cultural flows, all at once (this is also the secret of the videogame culture, making connections between seemingly unlike things). It's not attention deficit disorder, it's a profound, pervasive cultural shift. No couch potatoes anymore, just media moles.
This isn't to argue, as some might, that cultural mobilizations are a substitute for political ones. It's just that there are powerful utopian impulses running loose in the media culture, which no political mobilization can afford to ignore.
