"Kult lichnosti" is Khrushchev's coin. However, it is rarely remembered that Khrushchev meant it to mean the distortion of "Marxist-Leninist" ideology (Stalin's coin)and how it impacted the Communist Party - not society per se. Khrushchev's "Kult lichnosti" covered a very narrow set if issues - later the term was used by many Westerners as a term covering all of Stalin's deeds.
