Enough on this. Really. It's not productive, it's not timely, and it's not really very interesting.

Well, of course, must obey the wishes of the moderator, but , really now, it comes up and back up all the time here so the spontaneous judgment of a number of listmembers contradicts the idea that its not pertinent or interesting today. If it's not interesting , why do so many people keep talking about it ? Of course, forbidding it makes it even more interesting .

"Productive" ? Surely, "unproductive" can be pinned on a lot of threads.

Anyway, we can be sure that Michael Pug will bring up the topic of the Soviet Union again. The thing is to cut the thread off at the anti-Soviet stage, early on in MP's posts, not when the counterarguments to anti-Sovietism arise in response.
