Au contraire! When I visited London in Nov '03, I was impressed by the variety of foods, from the appealing gastro-pubs to extravantly strange spots like St John Bread & Wine ("Nose to Tail Eating" <http://www.stjohnbreadandwine.com/history.cfm>).
