The Kremlin will fo whatever is in the Kremlin's perceived best interest. Historically (meaning in the past decade or so) Moscow has viewed Teheran as more-or-less promoting Moscow's interests in Central Asia. If the Kremlin believes that this has ended, its policy will change correspondingly.
Given that many people in Russia have relatives in Israel*, the Iran prez's statements have not helped things.
*Since about half of Russia's Jews have emigrated since 1991, mostly to Israel, it's fairly safe to say that the great majority of Russian Jews have family in Israel and/or have lived in Israel themselves.
