it really was a rip off of magnolia--and a very poor one at that. Would have been much better with frogs. Actual characters rather than thinly drawn stereotypes would have been good as well. Inexplicable that this is what Hollywood thinks is quality. Seems that, following on the NYT piece sent out earlier, the quality is standardized as well. Not usually an Adorno disciple, but some days he's right on the money. Then again, not sure when this wasn't the case.
