At this point, we are hardly helping anyone, even ourselves (except French leftists)! Iraqis CANNOT drive out the US and UK, unless popular leaders arise in Iraq capable of stopping sectarian violence, purging foreign terrorists, and uniting fighters into a national liberation front. That won't happen any time soon (if it ever happens). Guerrillas and terrorists have so far managed to pin down US troops in Iraq (no thanks to Western leftists), which has helped Iran, Venezuela, etc. Washington may withdraw its troops from Iraq, though, once it amasses enough native death squads working for it, and move onto Iran. But Washington hasn't resolved to do so yet. So we got a window of opportunity to shift our focus onto Iran, which has yet to be destroyed.
