Well, even that is questionable here, regarding what is being defended: quite possibly it is the "Jesus mention" that is being defended and the blackness of the person doing the mentioning used as a tactic in the defence? A form of opportunism, though I believe the popular term is "co-opting". Such as a recent poster did with the use of the term "towelhead" (presumably to refer to Indians, in particular Sikhs). Similar to the incredibly elaborate (at best) notion that "conspiracy theories" involve a racism regarding the capabilities of non-whites (the [almost always] white critic of what he labels "conspiracy theory" here is supposed to be defending the non-whites -- though, it should be obvious, he is not).

I should add that I was surprised by Brian Dauth's post -- not a style of argument I would have attributed to him at all.
