KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 9 (Reuters) - Malaysia is considering giving approval for German car-maker Volkswagen (VOWG.DE: Quote, Profile, Research) to take a controlling stake in state car-maker Proton Holdings' (PROT.KL: Quote, Profile, Research) manufacturing operations, the premier said on Thursday.
"It is an option we are considering at the moment. There is no approval yet," he told reporters when asked whether Volkswagen was buying a 51 percent stake in Proton.
