Deputy Prime Minister Pham Gia Khiem approved a US $3.36 million project, funded by the Japanese government, to strengthen the capacity of producing vaccine against measles in Vietnam.
The Vietnamese Ministry of Health (MoH) will contribute VND 5.5 billion (US $343,750 ) to the project.
Deputy PM Khiem asked the MoH to study a way to shorten the time to implement the project. This aims to produce the vaccine meeting the World Health Organisation (WTO)'s standards for an early vaccination campaign. (VNA)
