Ah, there's the rub: a lousy night's sleep on a train (I'd say that I've slept overnight on about as many trains as I have planes -- which is to say: a lot -- and I'll take a plane anytime) costs far more than you'd care to pay for a hotel room had you flown the night before. If you're willing to leave in the evening, by all means fly and get there in time for a decent night's rest in a reasonably priced hotel.

You'll save time AND money :)

Not to mention you won't be rumpled in the morning.
