This is a rare example of concrete work by an individual reported on, for context and discussion, on this list. One lbo-talk er confirming 50+ for turnout on an iraq rally, when set against the hand-wringing, name-calling, obscure-nonsense-debating, and so forth, seems almost heroically humble and productive. I so wish concrete work, with numbers turned out, descriptions of conversations moving people to action, or other aspects of real-world organizing, were put forward a tenth as often as we debated whether fidel really hated homos or post-structuralists really are just pretending to be talking about something real or hamas are great or horrible.

In this spirit I'll prepare for posting a description of the union election and contract I've been working on for awhile in a little cowboy town in nevada.

I have 52 promised to show at our vigil tonight in a small town south
