Partly true; partly not. On global meddling, the Republicans have moved toward the Democratic POV. Both parties have fled the idea of balanced budget (used to be a core Republican position). On lower taxes for the rich (the one sacred position for a Republican) the Dems claim they will reverse that, but I dont count on it.
