There's nothing to see. It all looks fine, you set the timezone and it looks fine. (except the clock is weird, showing two different times.) As soon as you close the Date & Time, the time zone defaults back. basically, that function doesn't do anything.

Yeah, ran it and it did find an issue with the little permissions file. ran the repair disks permissions then, but it makes no difference. Looks like the software engineers didn't get around to finishing the job of making these functions work. All the user interface is set up looking very pretty, but the controls don't seem to connect to anything.

That's what you get when you pay peanuts I suppose.

I might just do that. last time I talked to a nice Phillipines woman based in Singapore. Had a chat about what it was like living in a police state.

In the meantime, anyone out there considering purchasing a new IMac, don't. Wait till they finish making it. Too late for my daughter, she just ordered one too. Its on its way from China as we speak. Oh well, I did warn her to buy the old model, lower price and its finished.
