B´s got a point. That´s the same down here in the Southern Cone... For instance the local anarchist historian Osvaldo Bayer http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Osvaldo_Bayer often describes himself as libertarian (libertario)... and he´d feel very insulted I guess to be associated with the Church of Ayn Rand zealots...
