Since "Labor as an institution" has long ceased to be even an imitation of a "Movement," criticisms of the Labor _Movement_ are empty of content. One could put the point when "movement" ceased to be a relevant term when the CIO refused to atrtempt to organize integrated unions in the south -- and even suppressed locals that had successfully integrated. It's been a mockery of movement ever since.
