[lbo-talk] Help on US unions

We have a visiting foreign scholar who is doing a research project
involving US labor unions.  Can anyone suggest literature outlining
current issues facing unions in a systematic way?  It should be
something that is concise and provides a big picture of the
relationship between unions and politics (rather than in fighting
grievances etc.) and of course something that does not have a
neoliberal bias  Please reply offlist.
