he has been saying one thing to the public, another to the business elite, another to army, another to foreign powers, another to intellectuals, another to progressives, another to students etc etc etc etc etc
its multi-channelling messaging
my guess is, he will squeeze some concessions out of elites, some scraps to throw to the electorate
meanwhile, overall, the machine keeps on grinding people and the environment down, the drumbeats of war etc
-- its also funny, Robert Reich, the resident dissident-economist at John Yoo University ... if anyone heard his speech to the Occupy Cal GA he said "you can wait, dont rush, take your time"... which was a good message... the camp now is a joke, a sad and weird hippy joke
