Gandall: The six part review is a thorough refutation of the line held by some on the Marxist left at the time that Syriza had no alternative but to bow to the troika and accept continued harsh austerity. Toussaint, who on behalf of the Committee for the Abolition of Illegitimate Debt was an active participant in the process, shows otherwise.

Henwood: Who on the ?Marxist left? held that position? I read Toussaint?s review when I was writing mine and found it a bunch of unimpressive ultra posturing.

Leo Panitch, an abject apologist for Syriza; Bhaskar Sunkara, who says he "rejects" all accusations of betrayal against Syriza (if implementing the austerity policies one was elected to oppose is not betrayal, the word has no meaning); Louis Proyect, who argued that Syriza couldn't quit the Eurozone because they did not possess the proper software for re-converting to the drachma. All the names I could think of at the moment, but I'm sure there are many more.
